Notes From Underground
03:48
|
|||
I've found notes from the underground that read:
"The laws of nature tend to offend me".
But it don't matter, when you feel like a stranger.
I looked into the mirror of the sea,
to find an answer or some certainty.

Movie stars in magazines smoke cigarettes from their limousines,
I've had enough, they waste my times and now I'm standing on the line.
You're like a book I've never read, or words I've never really said.
Take me out or take me home, but don't leave me on my own.
You looked at me in the worst kind of way,
You looked at me as if to say:
"You were the mantelpiece holding the frame
Of the image that showed all of my shame.
I was the wheel that spun you around, the drill that drove you into the ground."
Everything will be written in ink,
as the needle drags itself through your skin.
You're like a book I've never read, or words I've never really said.
Take me out or take me home, but don't leave me on my own.

Slow Train
04:16
|

Slow train goes through my brain,
but I don't mind going blind,
as long as you don't try to hide.
Written on the wall,
you said it all:
"All I wanna do is get close to you, all I wanna do it touch you."

Sway

|

You are so sensitive, and I am a machine.
You tell me not to think, but only to dream.
But I saw you standing on your own, yeah, I saw you so...
Sway to me, there's no place I'd rather be than clinging onto my youth.
Were you the last hero of that power-drive?
I stood there thinking that you might be mine.
I saw you standing on your own.

Pencil Case
05:16
|
|||
Make-up caked all over your teenage, with lipstick stains.
You had my name scribbled over your pencil case, what a mistake.
Raise the stakes,
bungee jump off of a razor blade,
into my brain.
Play the game,
roll the dice and just say my name.
Say my name.
Out of place and out of time,
all that romance was just fuel on the fire.
Maybe some day down the line, you and I will have a little piece of mind.
